Pim van Halem (NL, 1951) graduated in 1978 from the AKI in Enschede, Department of Monumental Design, in the subjects Graphics and Ceramics, but his main activity was actually always drawing. In 1991 he settled in Rotterdam – Charlois, where he realized various art applications in the outdoor space. Since 2006 he lives in Rotterdam – Noord and since 2014 in Delfshaven with a studio in Kralingen . Main source of inspiration: a stack of blank sheets of paper. Most used tools: his own handwriting.

His work can be found in the collections of many private individuals at home and abroad, several art libraries in various Dutch cities, various companies, banks and housing corporations, the Municipality of Enschede, Museum De Twentse Welle and the Caldic Collection.
